Middle Marches Baronial Championship

Logan Conference Center, 30682 Chieftain Drive, Logan, OH 43138.

This site is BONE DRY.

The site opens at 9 am and closes at 10pm.

Event Registration

Adult Day Registration (10+): $8

Adult Day Member Discount Registration (10+): $3

Youth Day Registration (0-9): Free

Family Cap Registration: $32 (Non-members) & $12 (Members)


Feast


Limit 70 seats

$13 per plate. Feast will be catered by a local restaurant (No one will need to be in the kitchen all day). It will be chicken, three sides, homemade bread, and 2-3 types of pie for desert. Lemonade and water will be provided for drinks. An ingredients list will need to be made available for folks with allergies. Please bring your own plastic bag for your dishes as there is no place to wash them.

Off-Board Feasting: For folks with food or allergy concerns and parents with small children we will bring back an old custom – ‘off-board’ feasting. Bring your own food and stay and enjoy the evening with the rest of us.


Baronial Lunch Counter will be provided 11:30 - 1:00

Martial Activities

9am-12 – Both Armored Combat and Rapier Combat lists open for inspections, authorizations, pick-ups, and an “open-to-all prize tourney “ devised by the marshals in charge.

12- 4:30 – Middle Marches Championships Competitions in a single list alternating heavy and rapier. Format will be a standard double elimination tourney until there are two finalists.


Archery Championship

9am -12 – Field open for inspections and an “open-to-all prize tourney” devised by the marshals in charge.

12-4:30 – Middle Marches Championship shoot. Format devised by the archery marshal and Their Excellencies. The highest two scores will have a shoot off in a format devised by Their Excellencies and the archery marshal(s).


Thrown Weapons Championship

9am -12 – Field open for inspections and an “open-to-all prize tourney” devised by the marshals in charge.

12-4:30 – Middle Marches Championship ‘throw’. Format devised by the Thrown Weapons marshal and Their Excellencies. The highest two scores will have a throw off in a format devised by Their Excellencies and the TW marshal(s).

All finals will be arranged so that the Baron, Baroness, and the populace can watch them. Non-monetary gaming on the heavy and rapier fights can occur as in the past. Baronial coins will be handed out on check-in at the event.


A&S Display and Championship

Their Excellencies encourage all attendees at the event to put both completed and in-progress arts and science projects on display. At check-in, all attendees will be given tokens to place with their favorite A&S displays—this is sometimes referred to as a ‘bean’ count.


Baronial Court

5:00 – 6:00 – Naming of Champions and the first Baronial Court of Their Excellencies Talymar and Melisande.


Feast

6:00-8:00 - Following Court

Bardic Circle: 8-9. Bring your stories, poems, and “no kidding there I was” stories. Stories about the history of the barony are particularly encouraged.


Site Closes (everyone out) before 10 pm.
